Νομαρχιακή Αυτοδιοίκηση Λαρίσης Larissa is the 4th big city in Greece, is located in Thessaly, 370 kilometers from Athens. It is an ancient city with rich history. According to some information the city exists over 4 000 years. For example, the father of medicine, Gippokrat has lived, created and died in Larissa. The food, paper, textile industry, manufacture of building materials are well developed. Agricultural fairs take place here every year, there is a huge railway station. Some high-speed ways pass through Thessaly, including highway E75 and the main railway branch line, which connects Athenes and Tessaloniki.
